House Passes First of Spending Bills for FY19 – On Friday, the House passed a minibus bill combining FY19 funding measures for Energy and Water, Military Construction-Veterans Affairs, and Legislative Branch appropriations. As a reminder, there are twelve jurisdiction areas for appropriations, leaving nine to be passed before the end of the fiscal year.
Senate to Vote on NDAA Today – The Senate is scheduled to vote today on proceeding to debate on the FY19 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). The starting point for debate will be the version of the bill passed by the Senate Armed Services Committee last month.
