Here We Go! Tax Reform
This morning, the House Ways & Means Committee is expected to release its tax reform package, following a one-day delay. The delay centered on how to find enough revenue to adhere to the FY 2018 Budget Resolution, which mandates that tax reform cannot add more than $1.5 trillion to the deficit over 10 years. The Committee is expected to hold a mark-up next week, and House GOP Leadership aims to pass the bill out of the House before the Thanksgiving holiday. Attention will then move to the Senate Finance Committee, the Senate committee of jurisdiction on taxation.
