AEO Launches Regional Councils with National Ecosystem Convenings Across Six Key Markets to Strengthen Small Business Growth

Regional Councils tour to be held at selected Federal Reserve Banks across the nation

Washington, D.C. (September 24, 2024) – The Association for Enterprise Opportunity (AEO) is excited to continue building on the success of its Leveraging Regionalism to Empower Small Businesses Summit held earlier this year in Washington, D.C. at the National Press Club.  During the summit, AEO launched its Regional Councils—a bold initiative designed to address the unique challenges facing small businesses across the country. These Councils bring together leaders from government, private industry, foundations, and nonprofits to collaborate and develop innovative solutions that support the growth of underserved businesses.

Building upon this, the organization will expand this effort with its Regional Councils: Leveraging Regionalism to Support Small Business Regional Summits that will bring together key stakeholders from each region to explore the latest economic trends, engage in thought-provoking discussions, and connect with organizations dedicated to empowering small businesses through panel discussions, fireside chats and networking opportunities. These regional focused programs will be held in partnership with selected Federal Reserve Banks across the country.

Dates, times and locations of regionalism convenings are listed below in chronologic order:

  • Region: South – October 15, 2024 – Atlanta, Georgia
