Association for Enterprise Opportunity (AEO) Hosts Two NCRC Fellows in Partnership for Equitable Development
Washington, D.C. — September 24, 2024 — The Association for Enterprise Opportunity (AEO) is proud to announce that it will host two fellows from the National Community Reinvestment Coalition’s (NCRC) 2024 Fellowship for Equitable Development program. This exciting partnership aligns with AEO’s commitment to fostering inclusive economic growth, equitable access to opportunity, and meaningful support for entrepreneurs from underrepresented communities.
The NCRC Fellowship for Equitable Development offers a transformative, nine-month experience focused on equipping emerging leaders with the skills and knowledge necessary to advance economic equity across the United States. The fellows will work closely with AEO’s team to address critical challenges facing small businesses in underserved communities, particularly entrepreneurs of color, women, and those in rural areas. By hosting the fellows, AEO underscores its mission to empower microbusinesses and champion equitable economic development.

The two fellows will collaborate with AEO’s leadership and key initiatives to develop innovative strategies for advancing economic equity through research, policy advocacy, and community engagement.
- Eke Agbai: Eke Agbai is pursuing an Master of Science in Applied Data Science and Analytics with a focus on social justice and economic empowerment at Howard University.
- Jaya Parashar: Jaya Parashar is a dedicated second-year Master of Public Administration (MPA) candidate at the Trachtenberg School specializing with a certificate in Non-Profit Management.
Their contributions will be instrumental in driving AEO’s ongoing work in transforming the entrepreneurial landscape for historically marginalized groups. Through this collaboration, AEO continues to demonstrate its leadership in creating impactful partnerships that drive systemic change and open doors to new opportunities for entrepreneurs nationwide.
