Senior Director of Innovation and Programming

The Association for Enterprise Opportunity (AEO) is seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Director of Innovation and Programming. This critical leadership role will focus on programming, establishing a capacity-building institute, developing advisory services, and leading a community of practitioners. The ideal candidate will drive AEO’s mission to create economic opportunities for underserved entrepreneurs through innovative program development and strategic execution. 

Senior Director of Marketing, Communications, and Engagement

The Senior Director of Marketing and Communication will lead the strategic development and execution of marketing, branding, and communication initiatives for the Association for Enterprise Opportunity (AEO). This role requires a visionary leader who can drive innovative marketing strategies, enhance brand visibility, lead member engagement and effectively communicate the organization’s mission to various stakeholders. The Senior Director will collaborate closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals.

Senior Director of Research

AEO is seeking a seasoned researcher with superior skills in qualitative and quantitative research methods, data science, and management to lead and conduct microbusiness industry research. The Research Director will possess the ability to quickly develop deep knowledge of sector specific issues and priorities and produce compelling applied research initiatives that will drive engagement and add value to AEO’s research, program, and policy priorities. He or she will collaborate with senior management to provide strategic input and guidance on all research projects, and manage or directly contribute to research goals, planning, design, analysis, publication, and distribution.  

Senior Advisor to President & CEO

The Senior Advisor to the President & CEO will play a pivotal role in supporting the implementation of AEO’s strategic initiatives and driving new strategic projects. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent project management skills, a collaborative spirit, and a passion for economic development and equity. The Senior Advisor will work closely with the President & CEO to ensure the successful execution of AEO’s mission and goals.

Senior Manager, Government Affairs

AE is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager of Government Affairs to join our team. This role is critical in shaping and advancing AEO’s policy and advocacy efforts at the federal, state, and local levels. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of legislative processes, a passion for small business and economic development, and a proven track record of successful advocacy. This position reports to the Senior Director of Marketing, Communications, and Strategic Engagement.

Event Coordinator

We are seeking an organized and proactive Event Coordinator to join our team in Washington, DC. This role will support the Senior Director of Operations in planning and executing both in-person and virtual events that align with AEO’s mission and goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in event planning, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 

Research Associate (Contractor) – Multiple Opportunities – Year Round and Project-Based 

AEO is seeking a motivated and experienced contracted Senior Research Associate to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will conduct in-depth research on small business, entrepreneurship, and microenterprise topics. This role will support our mission by providing valuable insights and data to inform our programs, policies, and advocacy efforts.

Program Associate for Childcare Funding Opportunity 

The Program Associate will play a crucial role in managing and supporting the Childcare Funding Opportunity initiative under the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Office of Women’s Business Ownership (OWBO). This initiative focuses on providing entrepreneurial development services to women-owned childcare small businesses, including those owned by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals.
