U.S. Small Business Confidence Stalled in May Per New Survey 

According to a survey of small business owners by the National Federation of Independent Business, the expectation for better business conditions dropped in May, reaching a new low in the survey’s five-decade history. Economists look to the report to get a gauge of domestic trends in hiring and wage increases.

Nearly $400 Billion in EIDL Loans Given to Small Businesses Through Pandemic 

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) awarded nearly $400 billion in EIDL loans to almost four million small businesses impacted by the pandemic during the program’s life. 90% of the loans went to companies with ten employees or less.
