Washington, D.C. — Tuesday, January 20, 2026— The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) and the Association for Enterprise Opportunity (AEO) are joining forces to champion entrepreneurs, expand access to opportunity, and strengthen the ecosystems that support small businesses across the country.

“The USHCC is excited to join AEO in what is truly a historic partnership for America’s entrepreneurial community,” said USHCC President and CEO Ramiro A. Cavazos. “This landmark partnership will expand capital, build ecosystems, and ensure that this economic momentum reaches every community.”

The USHCC and AEO are preparing to launch a series of programs, convenings, and national initiatives designed to uplift small business owners and strengthen community-based support systems, reinforcing the belief that when small businesses succeed, communities and the broader economy flourish.

This new partnership reflects a shared vision: that entrepreneurship remains one of the most powerful pathways to economic mobility, especially for the Hispanic, minority, and under-resourced communities that continue to drive innovation and contribute significantly to local and national economies.

“America’s Hispanic-owned businesses are not just growing — they are transforming the U.S. economy,” noted Natalie Madeira Cofield, CEO of the Association for Enterprise Opportunity. “With more than 5 million Latino-owned firms contributing nearly $900 billion each year, this community helps power our nation’s entrepreneurial engine.”

Analysis by McKinsey & Company shows that boosting revenue per employee for existing Latino businesses, garnering increased investments, and leveraging technology can unlock a potential $1.4 trillion in additional revenue for the economy and create millions of new jobs.

The new partnership between the USHCC and AEO will center on producing joint insights to better understand the needs of small business owners; strengthening local and national ecosystems through convenings and capacity-building for Business Support Organizations.

“This partnership reflects our deep commitment to economic equity,” Madeira explained. “By working together, we can advance policy changes that will expand financial inclusion and break down systemic barriers to entrepreneurship.”
