Senior Advisor to the President & CEO
Location: Washington, D.C. (Remote work flexibility)
Salary: $75,000 – $90,000 per annum one year term

Position Overview:
The Senior Advisor to the President & CEO will play a pivotal role in supporting the implementation of AEO’s strategic initiatives and driving new strategic projects. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent project management skills, a collaborative spirit, and a passion for economic development and equity. The Senior Advisor will work closely with the President & CEO to ensure the successful execution of AEO’s mission and goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Support: Assist the President & CEO in developing and implementing organizational strategies and initiatives.
- Project Management: Lead and manage strategic projects from conception to completion, ensuring alignment with AEO’s goals and timelines.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including board members, partners, and donors, to advance AEO’s mission.
- Research & Analysis: Conduct research and analysis to support strategic decision-making and identify new opportunities for growth and impact.
- Reporting & Communication: Prepare reports, presentations, and communications for the President & CEO, ensuring clear and effective dissemination of information.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams to ensure cohesive strategy implementation and foster a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Advisory Role: Provide high-level advice and support to the President & CEO on a range of strategic issues and initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Economics, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a strategic advisory or project management role, preferably within a non-profit or economic development organization.
- Skills:
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.

- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
