CR Friday
Today, all eyes are on the Senate after the House passed a continuing appropriations resolution (CR) to fund the federal government through February 16. The majority of Senate Democrats are opposed to a short-term funding measure, as it does not include a fix to the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program (DACA). Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has said that the bill will eventually pass. As a reminder, 60 votes are necessary to pass the CR in the Senate. The Senate convenes today at 11 a.m. to continue consideration of the bill. The current CR expires at midnight.
