CEO Message Graphic - Horizontal

As we celebrate National Entrepreneurship Month this November, we recognize the driving force that small businesses and entrepreneurs represent in our economy and communities. Entrepreneurs create millions of jobs, inject innovation into our markets, and provide pathways to prosperity for millions of Americans. From resilient startups to pioneering enterprises, entrepreneurs embody the spirit of creativity and hard work that propels our nation forward.

According to the recent proclamation by President Biden, small businesses employ nearly half of America’s private-sector workers. In fact, our nation’s 33 million small businesses provide employment for nearly 61 million Americans. Notably, the U.S. has seen a surge in entrepreneurship since the onset of the pandemic, with over 10 million applications to start new businesses filed over the past three years alone. This wave of new enterprises has brought with it a renewed sense of innovation, resilience, and economic empowerment across all corners of the country.

This month, we at AEO are committed to expanding our support for small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs. Through technical assistance, financial guidance, and community partnerships, we aim to fuel the ambitions of those who bring fresh ideas and solutions to life. Our work is especially focused on ensuring that entrepreneurs in rural and urban areas—who have traditionally faced barriers to business growth—have the resources they need to thrive.

As we celebrate this National Entrepreneurship Month, let us continue to uplift and support those who turn vision into reality, who take risks to create jobs, and who contribute to the dynamism and diversity of our economy. Together, we can build a future where every entrepreneur has the opportunity to succeed.

Entrepreneurially,
