SBA Announces Extension of $100 Million Community Navigator Pilot Grant Program

Last week, the SBA announced the extended application date for its new Community Navigator Pilot Program. SBA will now accept proposal submissions through July 23, 2021, and anticipates making award decisions by September 2021.

SBA’s PPP loan forgiveness deadline looming. 

For some of the program’s earliest applicants in April 2020, there was an eight-week covered period, meaning the deadline to apply for loan forgiveness would fall sometime in mid-July.

Bank launched $25 million fund to support microbusinesses owned by women of color

U.S. Bank in May laid out the details of the $25 million U.S. Bank Access Fund – a fund for women of color microbusiness owners.The fund is part of U.S. Bank Access Commitment, the company’s long-term approach to redefining how the bank serves diverse communities.

SBA officially closes Restaurant Revitalization Fund

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced the closure of the Restaurant Revitalization Fund (RRF) after awarding the program’s full $28.6 billion appropriation to more than 100,000 restaurants, bars, and other businesses that provide on-site food and drink.

Application for the  Veteran Federal Procurement Entrepreneurship Training Program Closing Soon

Nonprofits and private sector firms are now eligible to compete for funding of up to $500,000 to deliver federal procurement training to veteran and service-disabled veteran entrepreneurs. The application period will close on July 12, 2021.
