California is expanding its commitment to AI innovation through the introduction of Senate Bill 1047. This proposal aims to establish CalCompute, a public cloud computing cluster designed to facilitate AI development for entrepreneurs and startups, offering accessibility at minimal or zero cost. The intention behind this initiative is to promote widespread access to AI resources, thereby encouraging innovation throughout the state.

Sen. James Risch (R-ID) introduced a bill to amend the Small Business Act to require that plain writing statements regarding the solicitation of subcontractors be included in certain subcontracting plans.
