Senate Appropriations Update
Last night, the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Financial Services & General Government (FSGG) released their FY 2018 draft appropriations bill and explanation. FSGG is the subcommittee of jurisdiction for the Small Business Administration (SBA) and the Community Development Financial Institutions Fund (CDFI) at Treasury. The bill funds the SBA at $886.3M. Please find program funding below:
• CDFI Fund – $248M
• CDFI BGP – $500M
• Microloan TA – $31M
• Microloan Lending – $36M
• WBCs – $18M
• SBDCs – $130M
• HUBZone Program – $3M
• SBA Office of Advocacy – $9.12M
• Veterans Outreach – $12.3M
For appropriation purposes, the SBA’s PRIME program is discretionary funding and is not directly addressed in this legislation.
