Uber and Visa recently gave $1 million in grants to small businesses active on the Uber Eats platform. The program focused on companies owned by veterans, minorities, women, and LGBT operators in several metro areas.

Wells Fargo Provides $500,000 to Help Support Washington DC Small Businesses 

The Wells Fargo Foundation is providing $500,000 to The Coalition for Nonprofit Housing & Economic Development (CNHED) to offer technical financial assistance to 100 small business owners interested in participating in the D.C. Rebuild Bond Program. The program is a partnership between D.C.’s Mayor Office and SMBX, a financial marketplace that connects small business owners and investors.

Venmo Provides Grants and Mentorship Program to Small Businesses Through New Program 

Venmo awarded $10,000 in grants and technical advice and mentorship to 20 solopreneurs and small businesses. The Venmo Small Business Grant program will expand its offerings and services in the coming months.

Kentucky Small Businesses Can Be Eligible for $25,000 Grant Through New State Program 

Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear urged small business owners to apply for the Kentucky Small Business Tax Credit. Companies are eligible if they added at least one new full-time employee and invested $5,000 or more in qualifying equipment or technology within the past 24 months.
