Last week, two bills were introduced in the House to allow cannabis-related legitimate business and service providers to benefit from Small Business Administration (SBA) programs. Rep. Jared Golden (D-ME) introduced HR 3543 to ensure that certain entrepreneurial development programs at the SBA, such as Women’s Business Centers and Small Business Development Centers, are made available to cannabis-related businesses, and Rep. Nydia Velazquez (D-NY) introduced HR 3540 to ensure that certain loan programs at the SBA are made available to these businesses.

- A bill was introduced by Sen. Christopher Coons (D-DE) to amend the Energy Policy Act of 2005 to require the establishment of a small business voucher program (S 2009)
