Wednesday, the Senate passed H.R.7010 the Paycheck Protection Program Flexibility Act (PPPFA) of 2020. The provisions in the PPPFA are set to have a major impact on loan forgiveness. Among the key provisions, is a change in the threshold for the amount of PPP funds required to be spent on payroll costs to qualify for forgiveness to 60% of the loan amount.
Yesterday morning, the Department of Labor released last week’s unemployment insurance claims which totaled $1.8 million. This figure is down from the proceeding week’s figure of $2.1 million.
