The Midterm Elections on Tuesday did not yet provide a clear result on which party will control the U.S. House and Senate. Several critical Senate seats in Arizona, Georgia, Nevada, and Wisconsin are still too close to call. The biggest win for the Democrats was in Pennsylvania, where John Fetterman won the previously held Republican seat. Despite early predictions that the Republican party would gain control of the House, the Democrats held on to seats in Virginia and Kansas while other districts in New York and California were yet to be determined. Democrats were also successful in several governors races including in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. The final outcome will determine President Biden’s agenda for the next two years as the nation continues to deal with record inflation and concerns over the country’s overall direction.
